Gropetown formed after the demise of local bands Weenliz and Grozny. Initially the lineup was Duncan Young (guitar), Ian MacCorquodale (bass), Laurie Pitt (drums), William Robertson (Guitar). On the afternoon of their first gig Kenny Love and Julia Scott were asked if they'd like to sing and they said yes.
Phat Trophies are Hillary Van Scoy (Organ,Vocals) and Chris White (Drums). Their music is reminiscent of the carnival and popular for dancing at parties.
