“Katzwijm viert goede muziek. We brengen waar we van houden, en waar we met liefde naar luistere”. Luiden de woorden van dit kleine label uit Voorhout. En daar kunnen wij ons goed in vinden.

Space Siren stond al eerder in Roodkapje maar omdat nu eindelijk hun langverwachtte debuut album uitkomt, zien we ze nog graag een keer terug.
De liedjes nemen je mee, maar laten je nooit hun geheim weten.

Zea is breakpop mono gewapend met gitaar, mic, drum machines, sampler en synths, Arnold de Boer komt aan zetten met snel geprogrammeerde drums, een stortvloed aan synth geluiden en vocalen die alle kanten op kan.
8-bit electro geluiden die lijken te ontploffen en soms toch een pakkend popliedje ervan weten ter maken. “Zea klinkt alsof hij bezoek heeft gekregen van Gary Numans geest van At the Drive-in.

Smack Wizards zijn afkomstig uit het DIY muziek collectief Winning Sperm Party, uit Glasgow. Met bas, drum en gitaar maken ze rammelende punk pop liedjes. En zeg nu zelf alleen de naam maakt al nieuwsgierig.

Space Siren has played at Roodkapje before. But since there long awaited debut is finally reaching the surface we are very happy to welcome them back.
Their songs sound like they know where they’re going, but they’ll never let you in on the secret. Think Sonic Youth, My Bloody Valentine.

Zea is breakpop mono armed with guitar, mic, drum machines, sampler and synths, Arnold de Boer comes with fast-paced programmed drums, copious synth work, guitars that go from jangly to strummy in a moments notice, and vocals that chant as much as they sing; 8-bit electronic sounds exploding all over the place, and at the same time a pop tune isn't out of the question either

Smack Wizards are from the Glasgow DIY scene that is Winning Sperm Party. With just drums, bass and guitar they bring you rambling, jangling punk pop songs. And be honest the name itself raises enough interest to come and listen, doesn't it?!
