"Hailing from Southern France l'Ocelle Mare is the mesmerising solo project of Thomas Bonvalet, provider of the extraordinary acoustic guitar chops in now semi legendary french group, Cheval de Frise. He incorporates all kinds of unorthodox sounds and styles, from Fred Frith-esque string abuse to mediterranean folk rhythms; performed using banjo, amplified stomping blocks, metronomes, and what looks like a miniature home-made church organ (played with his mouth!)
