Smack Wizards
This Glasgow based trio went to all the effort of setting up outdoor generator gigs all over their town of Glasgow only to be uploaded on youtube to nothing but abusive comments about how the have disgraced the UK's invention of Rock n' Roll. Luckily most know that youtube critics are either willing conspirators or pathetic and that actually Smack Wizards are one of the most endearing bands to come from anywhere in a while. They sound a bit like Television preparing to polish up a ditty but thankfully stay within a realm of their own disorder, avoiding fixed arrangements in order to discover something more inclusive and fun for all.

Hired Muscle
Fully Bletchley, Hired Muscle are getting loads of people saying they're mint. A sound a lot like 80s/90s post hardcore this trio are proper DIY in attitude and well capable of doing it through having a good time playing rated riffs and battering beats. You'd look like a weirdo if they didn't get you moving in someway. Their eminent debut album, Last Minute, is well cheap and out now, released through Bletchey's very own Fortissimo records.

The Sense Of Adventure Tape Deck Orchestra
Lewis Webb from Milton Keynes (also of Bletchley/Action Beat turf) will be bringing his army of mismatched cassette decks to try out his latest concoction of brutish collage. His sets are never even remotely the same twice and his approach to cassettes and live performance is refreshingly direct, in that he treats them more like toys that playback slices of everyday nonsense rather than nostalgic suggestions of squealing art musics. He will perform with no pretension and it will be difficult not to take hats off.
