Dirty Summer are a shockingly cool three-piece from Dunfermline who will physically sicken the art-pop kids on listening. Brodie A L Wishart's lead vocal sounds like a crazed female country and western star as he roars along with his sweetly distorted bass guitar. Emily Banister provides the simple pop beats on a single floor-tom and snare, with the occasional school keyboard groove, whilst Fergus Christie Jack provides the retro synth melodies, mouth organ and wallofsound-like noise. The results are a bit chaotic but really pretty great.
This EP has now been remastered and is available as a limited physical CD.
